The financial viability of Discovery Ensemble is completely dependent on the generous financial support of the community.

All education activities of Discovery Ensemble: In-School Workshops by the whole orchestra, Youth Concerts by the whole orchestra and Follow-Up In-School Mini Workshops are presented free-of-charge to all students and participating schools often including the costs of student transportation which can be a crucial element in the ability of schools to participate with us.

Ticket prices for the orchestra’s concert series at Sanders Theatre in Cambridge, MA are kept purposely low with additional deep-discounts for seniors and students. We attempt to keep the economic barrier of attending our concerts to a minimum. Therefore, ticket sales account for only 13% of Discovery Ensemble’s $180,000.00 budget. The remainder must be raised through tax-deductable donations.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Discovery Ensemble has several sponsorship opportunities ranging from $1,500 to $25,000 per year.  These include:

$25,000 — Naming Rights for all Youth Activities for One Season (One Available)               
$25,000 — Naming Rights the Public Concert Series at Sanders Theatre for One Season (One Available)
$10,000 — Public Concert at Sanders Theatre (Two Available)
$10,000 — Season Sponsor of Music Director (One Available)
$10,000 — Season Sponsor of Artistic Director (One Available)
$7,500 — Youth Concert: Full Orchestra (Two Available)
$5,000 — In-School Workshop: Full Orchestra (Four Available)
$5,000 — Yearly Sponsorship of Discovery Ensemble’s Website (One Available)
$2,500 — Sponsor the Concertmaster for a Season (One Available) SOLD
$2,000 — Sponsor a Principle Orchestra Musician for a Season
$1,500 — Sponsor an Orchestra Member for a Season

Free Student Ticket Fund

Discovery Ensemble seeks donors for its Free Ticket Program for high school and college students.  Student tickets are priced at $10.00 each for our public concerts at Sanders Theatre.  So, for example, a $50.00 donation to this program allows us to give free tickets to five students.

Volunteer
