Mission
Discovery Ensemble is a forty member professional chamber orchestra founded in 2008. Discovery Ensemble has a two-fold mission:
- To serve as a resource to Boston-area schools that have no music education programs; to expose students to classical music so that they understand and appreciate its power and beauty; and to inspire students to learn more about music, including encouraging them to learn to play a musical instrument.
- To be the leading chamber orchestra in New England and one of the pre-eminent music ensembles in the United States.
